stampotique challenge time

This week's Stampotique challenge is being hosted by Libby Hickson.  She has asked us to make something that uses paint on our artwork.  I made this journal page.  The background uses paints and sprays and the background paper I used to layer on is painted deli paper.  The sun and the angel are also hand painted file folders that I stamped onto and cut out.  The sun was made from the angel stamp by reversing the stamp image after cutting it out.
I used my roc's angel rubber stamp.  The flowers are daisy, daisy and the words are the tall word collage.
If you would like to join in on the fun you can find all about the details by clicking the link above.  If you play you will have a chance to win a $30.00 gift certificate towards Stampotique stamps, and really, who couldn't use more stamps?!

The latest Rubberstampmadness magazine is out and I've had the pleasure of writing a three page article on journaling with stamps.  I hope you pick up a copy to read it.  If you can't find at your local book or craft store you can order it online here.

stampotique challenge time

This week it is Samantha Read's turn to host the Stampotique challenge.  She has asked us to make a hanging/home decor item.  I made this door hanger for my art room.
The stamps I used to create this were:  my heart vine rubber stamp and my flying heart.  The saying is from Stampotique, too.

If you would like to join in on the fun you can find all about the details by clicking the above link.  If you play you will have a chance to win a $30.00 gift certificate towards Stampotique stamps, and really, who couldn't use more stamps?!
